Where do these pipes go?

Where do these pipes go?
There is a fuel overflow pipe coming from the bottom of the carburetor that is very short (B). I was going to buy a longer piece to extend it alongside the breather drain tube so that any fuel would go on the floor rather than the engine.
Then I noticed a second short pipe that is the same diameter (A). This one passes through a metal tab on the underside of the swinging arm. Should the 2 pipes actually be one? If not, where does (A) go to?

Re: Where do these pipes go?
Hello Baldock,
I think it's great to build everything exactly the way Honda put it together. But a few things don't make sense in operation.
The overflow from the carburettor (above the inlet) has a short hose so that I can see immediately if anything runs out.
The drain hose under the float chamber is not fitted on my bike. Why? Because this valve should always be closed. When I want to work on the carburettor, I hold a cap from a spray can directly underneath it and drain the fuel. If there was a long hose, I would have to dismantle it first. Useless!
Hallo Baldock,
Greetings Gunnar

Re: Where do these pipes go?
Hello Peter,
Thank you very much for the praise. I'm happy to do it and hope I don't write too much nonsense. I don't need to know everything, we have other great experts whose opinions immediately make me prick up my ears and pause. Greetings to Rubus, Jörg, Hiha, Jogi, Peter from Bonn, Stefan from Saarbrücken, FrankM, Dominik (where is he anyway) and many others. Our forum lives through respect for everyone.
I like to use the deepl.com translator or direct.
Greetings
Gunnar

Hi Baldock and PeterH,
Are you kidding - I have never seen such a tube?? It goes from the carb to the shock?
Help me, I must have been blind.

Re: Where do these pipes go?
No peter, a short one goes from the bottom of the carb to nowhere. This serves no purpose, as mentioned by Gunnar.
The other one goes from the bottom of the rear shock absorber and through the metal tab on the underside of the swinging arm to nowhere.

Re: Where do these pipes go?
Moin,

so the pipe from the bottom of the carburetor goes under this tab?

Re: Where do these pipes go?
