I buy a XL250s 82, the bike function correctly but it makes a lot of rpm,s
80km/h = 5500 rpm and 105km/h = 7000 rpm. The original gears where mounted (14-53) I want to exchange the front gear for a 15 or the rear gear for an 50. Can sombody give me advise.

I think it will be better to change the front gear from 14 to 16. To change the rear gear to 50 will be ok.

Hi,

I don´t know if the 250 engine is strong enough for a 16 front gear, I would first change to 15.
Don´t make experiments with the rear gear because the front is cheaper and easier to mount.
