need a wiring digram for an 1982 XL500 please any one know where one is on the net i could print out ??

we got an 500S from 1982 so even in germay the parts people are idiots as we have also ordered a new battery and i keep telling the girl friend to translate to get the shop to charge the battery overnight and the guy keeps telling her that the bike will charge it up :? when its on the bike yes it wi...

arr one of the metal gauze filters i remember them now on the Honda so what has this guy sold me now?

ok well its about time i changed to oil on the girlfriends bike but not sure where it is on an XL500 as ive had a quick look but cant see it
is it under the belly pan on the bottom of the engine then

ok thanks for that as i thought it might be volt loss due to a weak battey but it has a mag like the old bikes

the bike we have is an 82 XL500
but its seems to me difficult to start for me but not the girlfreind
but i was wondering if it has eletronic ignition or points?
as the battery seems not to be holding a good charge to me hence the poor starting maybe or it could be me

thanks kartsen but i want to see what my opions are as im thinking of taking the side stand off for the TUV then put it back on afterwards
but if need be i will be come round to see your welding skills

we have an 82 model bike and the TUV is due soon is September but the side stand does not return when you sit upright on the bike due to some weird but not original plate the side stand is mounted on now in England im sure if I remove the side stand I could get an MOT (TUV) so is a side stand even r...
