Hello fellow XL500 owners and funs!
Hello,
I am grateful to the guy who created this international section. My XL500S is my favorite bike, I think she is a true and sincere enduro motorcycle. All this time I was feeling quite lonely after the last forum about older XLs died (xlintperformance.com).
Some questions if you please:
I use to order spare parts from 'davidsilverspares.co.uk'. Any other suggestions for XL500 parts in the EU?
Is there an easy way (not butchering the bike) to change the electrics to 12V? If yes is there a small enough 12V battery to fill into the space of the original 6V without modifications?
Where do you buy 23'' front tyres? I was forced to buy from USA a couple of chinese ones (Cheng Shin). I could not find any TW9 Bridgestones around and certainly not in Athens any more. Are there any other alternatives?
I am looking for a stainless steel front exhaust part (from the barell to the junction). Is there any third part manefacturer who do this?
My turn signals do not flash after a while except if I change the battery to a fresh one and the flasher too. They work for a week or so and then they get week again.
Thanks for being here and supporting this forum guys

Hello,
I searched at www.alttec-classics.de . It is a wonderful site and shop. I never have seen so much information, dedication and parts availabity for our beloved XL500s. I emailed the shopkeeper asking for information but he responeded that he does not understand english (I guess). This is a pitty, because many XL500 owners could greatly benefit from this online shop.
