First of all let me introduce. I am Riccardo an italian biker falled in love with the XL 500 S and Xl 250 S too. i and some friends with this passion are espertize varios problems : oil filling, head noise, etc..etc.. Unfotunately we do not speak german so we can't use your FAQ to solve our problems. There is some kind person that could tell us somethng about tipical problems and solutions. My e-mail is : rpiccardi@mccit.com. I really apreciate if you have some repair manual of something like this too in PDF (no german). We are thinking to build a www.xl500.it too like you ...but probally if too early..and we are dreaming to a have a international XL 500 meeting with all of you in Garda lake for example or in another place. this are fantastic news from you. i hope to meet you. perhaps in 2005. then we will have the 5 th international xl500 meeting. it will be in germany. i know it is far away from you but perhaps you can ride with some frinds from switzerland.

My englisch is not verry good, but i'm sure we will help you and your friends. A Meeting at lago di Garda is a good idea. Its a wonderful place with verry good roads

Oil filling or Oil leaking ???
Hello Ricardo,
at first welcome to the XL500 community in Germany...
When you speak of oil filling in the head, do you in fact really mean filling or leaking??? (A typical XL500 prob)
This information would really be a help.... Then a solution will probably just be an instance of using the faq and translating the solution for you....
